Hey guys

got me a problem i cant figuer out. Ill open the Customer From from the main menu, then got to the oprder form say on Customer1 and everything works fine. Close the order form and go to Customer2 and try to open the Order form and Access closes completly, has this happened to any of you and if so how did you fix it?

What do you mean "go to Customer2 and try to open the Order form"?

You'll have to show us your main menu and the code you're using to open the Order Form.

what i mean by going to customer 2 is going to the next customer and my button code is this

Private Sub OrderBtn_Click()

    DoCmd.OpenForm "OrderF", , , "CustomerID=" & CustomerID, , , Me.VehicleCombo

End Sub

Earl

You should not need the ", , , Me.Vehiclecombo".

Most "Main Menu's" are not bound to a table... so when you're referencing the "CustomerID"... that's assumed on the Form.  So this will not work if your "Main Menu" is like the one shown in Rick's Database.

If you're selecting a customer in a ComboBox... then you would need to refer to that in your WHERE statement.

Raymond I dont have my Orders on the main menu i have it on the CustomerF. This is how my Form is setup. Now I did take you advice and removed the ,,,Me.VehicleCombo.

If you want to see the orders for that customer it would be:

DoCmd.OpenForm "OrderF",,,"CustomerID=" & CustomerID

If Access is just shutting down when you try to do it with a second customer, there's a deeper issue here. Like Alex said, run down the Troubleshooter.
