Send Email From Access Fail

Hello,
I have been struggling with trying to send email from Access. I have built the email protocol for gmail. I have followed the videos from Richard. I am currently getting a run-time error:"The transport failed to connect to the server." I have built everything the way Richard did. see attached. I don't know how many times I have reviewed the CDO email videos. I have the app gmail password that was given to me and it is put where Richard has his. If someone could help point me in the right direction I have been hours trying to get this to work.

Just some ideas as I struggled with this a year ago. Have you tried port 25 or 587 to see if that is the issue? Check your References and their order. Maybe use Isladogs CDO EMail Tester.

As Joe mentioned, this looks like a connection issue with Gmail's SMTP server, which is often related to incorrect port settings or firewall blocks. Since you've already confirmed the app password is set up, the next thing to check is that you're using the correct port (587 for TLS or 465 for SSL).
