I'm trying to design a database for a church.  My dilemma is figuring out the best way to design the database especially regarding parents and children.

I would really like to have it where when a parent is entered a child can be added via a subform.  However, there are children who are a part of the church, but their parents are not.

So what would be a better database deisgn to account for this?

Kevin, I would use the SELF-JOIN relationship that I covered in the Relationship Seminar (which I see you have). Make everyone a PERSON (parents and kids) and then use a subform to specify the relationships between people. I think I did this exact example in the seminar, too.
