Email Access and Richard

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Richard for what he does. Through his courses, I have relearned MS Access from years ago. Today, I finished (if any program is ever really finished) the email portion of my database. I can use all the fields with multiple recipients, send without opening any email program, translate into over 100 languages, add various signature blocks, add attachments, and log each email in my client file. The only thing left is for Richard to discover a way to receive emails and get them into my client files. Richard, THANK YOU.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I'm glad you were able to get all that working - fantastic job!

I do have code that can pull email from a POP3 server like Gmail. It works beautifully for plain text and about 95% of the time overall, but attachments are still a challenge. I've been using it with my own customer service database for a few months now. Real time saver.

I'm continuing to tweak it and hope to release it soon. For example, I often forward emails to my database if I'm on the road. The system imports them automatically. Attachments are the tricky part, but if you use Gmail, the original email with attachments is still safe in your account. My goal is to make it work seamlessly with those too.

I am actually working on pulling directly from Exchange, running it through everything, with it being placed in the client folder with translations as needed and recording in my contacts for the client.
