Sum of Hours in Time Sheet

I have a time sheet list/continuous forms with Start Time, End Time and Time Period showing how many hours are spent. I have a total time field in the footer that = Sum([Time Period]).
The first 2 records in the form and table are for 0.63 and 0.58 hours respectively but the total field in the footer says the total time is 5.12 hours. There are no other records in the table.
Can anyone explain that?

My guess is the format for all your Time Period Fields are not Hours. It should look like this:

=DateDiff ( "h", StartTime, EndTime)

If that still isn't correct, try swapping the StartTime and EndTime like this:

=DateDiff ( "h", EndTime, StartTime)

If this still does not work, please post a picture of your form in Form View and a picture showing the functions in all your fields.
