I am new to using Access,signed up for your online classes.  Database created by the previous employee has all information on one table as a flat file. I am trying to create reports as needed without exporting data to excel and sorting as previously instructed.  

My report only displays data on the top seven inches of each page.
Orientation  = portrait,
Margin = narrow,
Size  = 8   X 11
labels were moved to the page header,
footer bar was moved below the field names
page number was added to page footer
company name was added to the report header,
report footer bar was moved closer to the page footer.

I do not understand why the data only displays on the top seven inches of the report.
Can you help?

I'd have to see the report to tell you for sure, but it sounds like he may have set a size for the detail section and then set the CAN SHRINK property to NO. Without seeing the report, it could be a dozen things.
