Deposit Slip
Bill

We manage rental properties. We have a table that contains rent payments. Some of the payments ‎are in cash, some by check, some by credit card. The payments relate to properties which are owned ‎by different people (ownerid). These payments are deposited several times a week. We have created ‎a form for the deposit slip. ‎

We originally put all of the transactions on the deposit slip, but there are often too many entries to fit ‎on the ticket, so we have one report for the detail, but summarize the results on the actual deposit ‎ticket. The summary shows only the amount of cash, the total of all of the checks and the grand total ‎of both.‎

To do this, we sort and group by ownerID. We also sort and group by payment type (cash or check). In ‎the payment type header, we include a sum of the amount. If there are checks and cash, then we get ‎two totals. If there is all cash or all checks, there is only one subtotal. But I want the summary to ‎include an entry for both checks and cash for EVERY deposit slip. ‎

I tried using Dsum in the OwnerID header, but I could not get it to work correctly. In the criteria, I need ‎to filter by the current owner id. I tried to use the Reports![OwnerID] but I still get the total deposit for ‎all of the owners combined.‎

What am I doing wrong?‎

I'm sorry, Bill, but I can't visualize what you're trying to explain. Can you give me an example?
