I would like to add a '-' to the end of a number in a report that picks up it's value from a combo box. I tried adding string concatination to the end of the row source but that did not work (SELECT [SectionT].[StartId], [SectionT].[SectionNumber] FROM SectionT; & "-"). Is there a way to do this?

Try:
SELECT StartID, SectionNumber & "-" FROM SectionT
