Access Printing Duplicate Triplicate Pages
Randall Leedy

I have built my first database to track monthly the stats of a local food pantry. I have a main interface form setup for looking up a "Patron" to see if they have visited before and are in our database. Ideally we get a lot of repeats and when they have been entered we just confirm the information is correct and print a report for them to sign.
I have a button on this form that launches a query to update a table showing the patron visited "today" and then opens a report using the Patrons ID to specify their record and print their report.

The problem I cannot solve is this scenario: Upon the first click the query updates & the printer will print 1 page and finish the first time - fine. Then when I search another patron find them and click the print button, the qurey updates correctly but the print command is duplicated i.e. two pages - for no reason that I can decern. Then same thing on the third patron search, three pages. I have checked the usual susupects, margins, paper size, forced page breaks etc.

There are some peqularities.
1. We are using an old HP4050tn laser jet printer
2. The printed report size is A5 or half 8.5 X 11

PatronInF = Patron Input form (main workhorse form) where  the button with the print command is
AssistanceFormFromQ_R = Report called from input form when patron ID is passed

Here is the vba code under the button:

Private Sub PrintFormVB_Btn_Click()

    Me.Refresh
    DoCmd.SetWarnings False
    DoCmd.Save
    DoCmd.OpenQuery "AddPatronVisitAppendQ"

    DoCmd.OpenReport "AssistanceFormFromQ_R", , , "PatronID=" & PatronID
    DoCmd.Close acForm, "PatronInF", acSaveYes

    DoCmd.SetWarnings True

End Sub

First Thoughts:
- I'm not familiar with the DoCmd.Save... I looked this up and I'm not sure why this is needed.
- After DoCmd.OpenQuery "AddPatronVisitAppendQ".... add the line immediately after that says that says "DoEvents"
- I would need to see your queries and reports in design view to help with those.
- I've had reports print what looked like duplicates when either the query or the grouping in the report was wrong.

Without seeing your queries and reports, I can't think of any thing else to help.
