With an accounts database that I have been using consistently for several years without problem, I am recently and suddenly presented with the following warning message:
The expression After Update you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: Return without GoSub.
* The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of a user-defined function, or [Event Procedure].
* There may have been an error evaluating the function, event, or macro.

When I open the Main Form a field which shows the total of all columns is filled with # signs.

I get the above error message if I try to filter any column.

However if I enter Design View, click on any of the filter combo boxes, click on the Property, Event tab and on the After Update ellipsis to get the vba edit and then exit out of the vba edit (with or without saving it first) the Main Form is correctly presented with the total showing properly and all filter combos working properly.
Any idea how to fix this?
I suspect it is something to do with getting a particular sub-routine into memory, and that sub-routine is called "Requery Form".
Can I get that sub-routine into memory when I open the database?

David, I assume you've tried a COMPACT & REPAIR.

Did you name your own VBA subroutine "requery" because if so, that's a reserved word in Access. Try renaming it.
