Email Report Btn - Error 2293

Class of AX05 lesson 04 Email Report:

Well, I kept running into the same bump in the road during the 04 lesson around the 8:10- mark. When I clicked the Email Report button, it would take a few seconds and give me an Error 2293 and would not open my Outlook.

Not sure if it's an Access issue or Outlook Issue, but the funny thing is I worked on your "Follow-up Classes", all six of them and the email portion worked just fine.

Maybe I'm working too late at night. What exactly am I missing??

You need to show us your code.

Hey there Raymond,

What I did  i went back to the Followups class 5, and used that method to make a few small adjustments to the Email issue I was having. I used this Code:

Private Sub EmailTemplateCombo_AfterUpdate()

        Dim Subject As String, Body As String

    If IsNull(Email) Then Exit Sub

    Subject = Nz(DLookup("Subject", "EmailTemplateT", "EmailTemplateID=" & EmailTemplateCombo), "")
    Body = Nz(DLookup("Body", "EmailTemplateT", "EmailTemplateID=" & EmailTemplateCombo), "")

    FollowHyperlink "mailto:" & Email & "?subject=" & Subject & "&body=" & Body

End Sub

And like Batman, in the 60's, "Bang" POW" and "POP" it worked like a charm.

Although, in my spare time, i'm still trying to figure out my Error 2293,

Thanks

I'm not understanding... you said it worked like a charm, then you say you're still getting an error?

Were these 2 different issues you're talking about?

Hi there Raymond,

I tried the code from above and that worked great, instead of the using the Email Report Button, I reworked it so it would show up as part of the drop-down form letters from the "Follow-up Series", I Frankenstein it, so it would work to complete the task.
