How to Set Focus to Control on Subform

I have 2xForms: Form1 is main form with three controls strictly for reference use
Form2 is a subform on Form1. I want to setfocus to a specific control (WorkDate) on Form2 so that when everything is open the user can start entering WorkDate data. Here is what I have tried:
Forms![Form2]![WorkDate].SetFocus but i keep getting this error:
"cannot find the referenced form Form2

Any ideas what I did wrong?

First, you set focus on the subform control: Forms!Form1!Form2.SetFocus Then set focus on the control inside the subform: Forms!Form1!Form2.Form!WorkDate.SetFocus
