SQL Seminar 2 Combo Box
Ken Wykoff

Sorry guys, I have once again have gone over this from the beginning of the video to the end of creating the combo box and the Query for the Form to work with to get new prices adjusted. Just one of the cells is giving a price from the VendorT and I cannot find out why. Any ideas?

Only 2 guesses I can come up with for what you are showing:

1) Are ProductT.ProductCode and VendorProductT.PRID the same Datatype with the same field size (shouldn't make a difference, but since your not using an autonumber for linking, worth checking)

2) Are you sure there are no trailing spaces in one of the tables that aren't in the other.

For example, ProductT might have ProductCode "HDD1T" and VendorProductT.PRID "HDD1T"
but then ProductT.ProductCode "HHD2T" but VendorProductT.PRID is "HHD2T  "

Donald have you looked at the video for this lesson in that seminar? It is very confusing. I was hoping to see what the SQL would have looked like but it was skipped over. On the video it worked fine like Richard had wanted it too.

Ok thanks and I'll get back with you later if ok to answer your questions too.

Ahh, just spotted in your image, your product codes doen't match your PRID. LOL, since it is matching ProductT.ProductCode to VendorProductT.PRID, it isn't showing any new numbers because there are no other matches.

I should have looked closer sooner, lol.

For example:

HDD1T to HDD1T so you get the new price
but then
HDD2T to HHD2T so no price

Wow! That's a great Catch! I never caught that either. I guess with all the stuff going on in my head these days, since my recent surgery, trying to focus is harder, dealing with pain meds, and trying to stay awake longer each day...LOL. Old age is not what they told us it would be like. But thank you again. I checked the number for the Memory as well, and that was a typo as well.

I meant Keyboard not memory

I understand the focus stuff... been dealing with a lot of exhaustion lately so I miss some simple stuff on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd... pass, lol too. Always happy to lend an extra set of eyes :)
