Locked Record
Achaiki Diachiristiki

Good morning or good evening (we have a difference of several hours). Recently, a problem appeared in an Access application with an SQL database concerning a specific record. Access does not allow correcting or changing the data, citing that another user has simultaneously changed the record, although this is not true. Furthermore, the options given in the error message are only two: 'Copy to Clipboard' or 'Drop Changes'. We must emphasize that no other user is currently in the database, and I have also performed a database compact and repair, but the problem persists. Do we know a way to unlock the record? A solution would be helpful because deleting and re-entering the client would cause problems in many other linked tables.

You might just have a corrupted record.

Number of suggestions-
-Can you update the record with a SQL Update statement? IF so, the problem is more than likely in Access.
-Have you added any new fields recently that may have caused this? Most notably, bit fields with no default values so they have nulls? Along with this, changed any Data Types?
-Is this a local hosted SQL server? You might be able to get some information with like EXEC sp_who2;

As Adam has said most of the time this is caused by a bit type field that allows nulls. SQL server does not like bit fields with nulls
