Basic Check Register

Good morning Richard,
I am still working on my "Basic Checkbook Register".
It works for the most part. I was trying to make it as per your video, which works fine, until I tried to have multiple accounts using the query you showed us how to make. I cant figure out how to have an Amount for my other accounts in the same query. So I just decided to make an entry ledger using positive and negitive numbers. That works but exactly like I wanted.
The queries I have made for each account work okay as far as I know, but I sometimes get this pop up. I will provide an image.
Thank you.

I can fix this buy going back into design and adding the table information again.
I just don't know why this happens.

That's usually an error you get when you have an append query or a make-table query, and you haven't specified a destination field for the data to go into.

Or an Update Query where you don't specify values in any fields to update

Richard This has happened a couple of times. The queries start out just fine, but it seems to happen when I resize or move the query so as not take too much screen space. I like to my form open with a button to launch the query, but I still want to see my form.
As always, Thank you!

When I get that message, nothing is in the query.

This could also be caused by a corrupt database. Have you compacted and repaired lately?

Yes.
All I was trying to do is to have a Checkbook Register that can keep track of all my accounts, not just checking.
I don't know if your "Checkbook Register" seminar and or template covers this. I am very much interested in that, but I have no need to print checks or batches of checks. I am retiring soon and I am trying to keep my costs down.
Thank you, as always.

Richard Can you please tell me more about your Check Register Seminar? Do you pay to watch the seminar and then if your want the template pay for that too? I kind of wish it didn't include all the check printing features. I Don't really need them, as I haven't written a check in decades.  You don't have a version without all the check printing features do you?
Thank you.

The Access Check Register Seminar covers multiple accounts as needed. If you purchase the seminar, you get the template that goes with it. The check Access Check Register Template is just the template without all the instruction on how it was built.

If I get it, I would want to see how it was built.
Thank you.

Yes, the seminar shows you how it was built step-by-step. No, I don't have a separate version without the check printing. I realize a lot of people don't print checks, but you can skip over those lessons if you want to. It's only a very small portion of the seminar, less than 20% of it.

And yes, since you've already purchased the template, I'll apply what you've paid for that towards the seminar. Contact me via customer service if you'd like to have it added to your account.
