Accessing Hyperlink in a Rich Text Field
Martin Fairbairn

I access Access via RDP from a Mac with a Mac keyboard.  I have put Text formatting in my Quick Access toolbar and it works fine but does not include hyperlink creation/edit.  With Grok's help, I have tried using ^k an ^right click but nothing happens.  Grok told me to look for the insert toolbar and select insert hyperlink but I cannot find an insert toolbar anywhere.
I have Access in front of MySQL.  The MySQL field is long text and the field formatted as Rich Text
Can anyone help?

I have my email message body set to rich text and I can type in hyperlinks and they show up as clickable links that work.

At just 3 minutes in, Richard says you can't use hyperlinks :-(

Hi, Joe.
I have some that I created outside Access that show up as hyperlinks but if I type them in now, they don't create a link.  That's why I called for help.  Strange ...

Raw links work but nothing more. As long as you enter a valid link text (eg: a URL starting with http://, https://, or mailto:), the link will work in a rich text field. Links with display text do not work (eg: Click here for your link)
