How would you recommend I do, to get an option to become available when you request an item out of a list.
I have a list of activities i a combo box, out of 8 or nine activities 2 would present a second option for the user.
For example:
Activities in activitytypeT table: workout, role play, prospect, appointments and contracts.
Of these activities, appointments and contracts should pop an option to select from a category (in categoryT): buyer or seller.
These could be an option button, or a button, or a drop box.

ActivitytypeT contains the fields: activitytypeID, activity, categoryoption.
What I was thinking is to place a "1" in the activityes that would have the option of selecting the category (buyer or seller), and then, somehow in a query, identify when the option will pop up, that is as far as I get, resolving the query and adding this to my form is virgin territory.

You'd need a little bit of coding. Make a 2nd combo box. Let's call it "Combo2". Now, in the AFTER UPDATE EVENT for the first combo, you could say:

If Combo1 = "5" then
  Combo2.VISIBLE = true
else
  Combo2.VISIBLE = false
end if

Of course, you can add multiple values if you want - or even make it a table field with a separate column if you don't want to hard-code it into your VBA.
