Dynamic Forms
Senthil K

Hi Richard,
Please could you advise on how I could create a form dynamically based on the number of Officers I have in my OfficersT. The form should create the labels and textboxes (which will hold the sum of the inquiries they have taken over a period). Currently i have 7 officers i am reporting for and have created a static form, which is pulling off all the figures from a master query, MasterQ. But as you can imagine when new officers are added or become inactive the form will need to be manually changed to reflect the changes. The OfficersT is used to populate the Assigned Officer combo on an inquiry form, an officer is assigned to the inquiry that is being logged. The manager generates reports on the number of inquiries that an officer receives, what status they are, flags for urgent and over etc...basically performance tracking.

I have recently purchased your Recordsets classes 320-329 - but have only got to 321 so far. Will the later lessons explain how to do this?

Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Senthil.

Reply from Richard Rost:

Sure, you could use VBA to actually control the fields that are on a form, but that's a lot of work. Couldn't you just make the officers records in a continuous subform?
