Transcribing From Continuous Form
Richard Lanoue

Is it possible to have a continuous form of customer names and have it all transcribed to a single text field on the parent form.

Example: Customer1 in sub-record 1 Customer 2 in sub-record 2. then on parent form it is concatenated to a single text field as =Customer1 & ", " & Customer2 ...
If so how?

Yes. Totally possible.
See screenshot below for an example.

I played about with this for a little while and this is much better code.

DetailsPublic Sub ListCustomers()

    Dim frmSub As Form, rs As Recordset
    Dim custName As String, S As String

    Set frmSub = forms!CustomerParentF!CustomerSubF.Form
    Set rs = frmSub.RecordsetClone

    If Not (rs.BOF And rs.EOF) Then
        rs.MoveFirst
        While Not rs.EOF
            custName = Nz(rs!FirstName, "") & " " & Nz(rs!LastName, "")
            custName = Trim(custName)

            If Len(custName) > 0 Then
                If Len(S) > 0 Then S = S & ", "
                S = S & custName
            End If

            rs.MoveNext
        Wend
    End If

    txtCustomers = S

    rs.Close
    Set rs = Nothing
    Set frmSub = Nothing

End Sub

RecordsetClone
