Extended Info
Alan E

Hi there.  I have a table with some basic info, followed by 18 different attributes - eg favourite car, hobby etc... I then wish to be able to expand on these 18 items on a user form, so when a user enters data helpful info relating to the 18 attributes pops up on screen against the 18 item fields.  Does the help info ideally need to be stored in a secondary table that is related to the main table, then linked via relationship and query?

Reply from Richard Rost:

It's not required, but I would recommend it, especially if you have a lot of different information that you only capture on SOME of your customers. I cover this when I talk about storing "extended customer data" using one-to-one relationships in Access Expert Level 4.
