Using data from 2 tables in one report

Hi Kim,

If you're using relational tables it should be easy.

If not, and assuming you don't have thousands of records, then relate the tables and do the following:

i.e.

1. Use your AdultID from your AdultT & place it in your ChildT -

2. Make the Data Type = Number.

3. Relate the records between the two tables (assign numbers accordingly)

4. Create a new Query with ChildT & AdultT (give it a name?)

5. Make inner-join between tables.

6. Limit in Query (if necessary) to display a specific record with the following method:  In AdultID section under Criteria =Forms!FormName!AdultID

7. Link report to new query. You'll notice from using FirstName / LastName naming convention in your two tables; the values in the report's design view displays as (ChildT.FirstName  ChildT.LastName and AdultT.FirstName and AdultT.LastName). It's ok.

8.Link these fields as per your requirement in the report and position fields appropriately. Whallah!

9. Job done!

Cheers,

Deon
