Hi Richard
First of all let me say I enjoying my lesson so much I also want to say for the past months I was struggling to download my lesson on off-line. I spend lot of money buying Adobe flesh player and RealPlayer download but this thing didn t work, the money I spend I should have buy more lessons. Only after I take time and browser in your Access Learning Zone I saw your Download 599cd Computer it takes me 2min to install to my computer now I am enjoying my lesson for the first time. Thank you so much Richard keep going doing good thing for us.
Now I want to demonstrate my problem which I need advised and solutions. I have made my database in this way:-
On the design view I have the following>
1.Form header
> I have made a lookup combo box to find out record based on the value user selected, check Customer By ID number or by Surname, because I want a user before he/she capture new record he/she must first check if customer already exist in the database to avoid empty records
2. On the detail Form
> I have customer details records, Customer ID number 13 digit, Surname, Name, Gender and address
3. On the same Detail form I have Subform which Dates, Time and customer history what the customer coming to do and what service he/she got.

But my problem is when I do the Event builder to give permissions for different users, then I kind see Subform or Form Header for lookup value e.g.
IsUserInGroup(1) Or IsUserInGroup(2) Then
     Me.AllowAdditions = True
     Me.AllowDeletions = True
     Me.AllowEdits = True

IsUserInGroup(3) Or IsUserInGroup(4) Then
     Me.AllowAdditions = True
     Me.AllowEdits = True
I want to give who must have the right to do certain things
