Is that one of your choices in the Helper Table? Also since you're bound column is the ID field it would be the number that relates to that text if so.

Combo Box Select One would show you the easiest way to accomplish your goal.

Thank you all, I figured it out.  I really appreciated the suggestions.  They helped me see my error.  Needed to add
"Me.EmailMsgCombo.Value = 329 '[20260604-DAN]-Set email dropdown box default message."  
to the OnCurrent event where 329 is the helperID for the message to display.
