David Here’s an article from PureInfoTech that may be of interest:

From everything I've read so far, this is not a situation where your computer suddenly stops working on June 24th. Microsoft is replacing some older Secure Boot certificates that date back to 2011, and the updates are being distributed through Windows Update. Most users shouldn't have to do anything manually.

More importantly, this has nothing to do with Microsoft Access specifically. If your computer continues to boot into Windows, Access should continue running normally.

The one thing that caught my attention is your note that Secure Boot shows as Unsupported. That may simply be because your system was built before Secure Boot became common, or because of the way the motherboard is configured. Since your Windows 11 installation is already running fine, I wouldn't rush to change anything right now.

My recommendation is to keep Windows fully updated and watch for any messages from Microsoft regarding Secure Boot status. Based on everything I've seen, this appears to be a routine security-certificate transition rather than a looming deadline that will disable older PCs.

And don't worry, I haven't heard anything that suggests you're about to lose Access or Windows on June 24th.

If it ain't broke, don't go poking around in the BIOS just because some article on the Internet made you nervous.

Thank you. I guess maybe I should stop watching the doom and gloom videos that are flooding youtube right now. I just can't afford to loose what I have built and have treated me very well for many years.

Yeah, it's not the catastrophe some headlines are making it out to be. Here's another article published yesterday.

This has to do with Secure Boot certificates that Microsoft originally created back in 2011. Those certificates are expiring in 2026, and Microsoft has already been rolling out replacement certificates through Windows Update.

The important thing is that your computer is NOT going to suddenly stop working on June 24th, and this has absolutely nothing to do with Microsoft Access itself. If your computer boots into Windows, Access will continue to run normally.

Microsoft has even added a status indicator in Windows Security (Windows Security > Device Security > Secure Boot) that will show Green, Yellow, or Red status messages. Green means you're fully updated, Yellow means Windows is still working on the update, and Red means there may be a firmware issue that requires attention.

The one thing that caught my eye is that your system reports Secure Boot as "Unsupported." Since this is an older custom-built machine that's already running Windows 11 successfully, I would NOT start changing BIOS settings or experimenting with Secure Boot just because of these articles. If everything is working fine, leave it alone.

My recommendation is simple: keep Windows Update enabled, let Microsoft do its thing, and don't panic over the June 24th date. Everything I've read so far suggests this is a routine security infrastructure update, not a deadline where older computers suddenly stop working.

And no, I haven't seen anything to suggest that you're going to lose Windows or Microsoft Access because of this.
