I wrote my database over a year ago and it's doing great for me. But, there is one issue I didn't think was an issue but lately, it's an issue. I'm sure you'll need more information from me, let me describe the issue first.

I use a menu where I can chose a category what records to display in the record display form which is a whole separate form that loads. No problem there. But while in the record display form and I choose to search for a record, when I've completed my search, the record display form returns to an unfiltered display meaning the category of records I chose to display by is no longer in use.

I've decided that I would rather stay in that category even after a search. Why? It just doesn't seem normal for the program to switch like that from the filtered records to unfiltered.

Can someone get me started on how to implement my searches without losing the category? Thanks!
