Colin Riddington's October 12 Access bug roundup describes out-of-memory errors in complex Access databases with many VBA identifiers. The failures can occur while declaring another variable or compiling the project; the triggering variable may be renamed to Me. The issue was reported October 7 by Eugen Albiker and Riddington.

Riddington suspects a limit on the number of unique identifiers and lists current Access versions across all release channels as affected. The report says the Access team is investigating, but it gives no confirmed numeric threshold, released fix or delivery date.

For affected projects, the suggested workarounds are to substantially reduce unique identifiers or move part of the code into a separate library database. See the isladogs October bug roundup for the reported symptoms and current status.
