I'm going thru the lesson but cannot get it to find the first day of the month. Here is my code:

    While Weekday(StartDate) <> 1

End Sub

Nothing seems to be happening. I'm using Access 2007.

Your code looks fine. Throw a MsgBox in the loop there so you can see what it's doing.

While Weekday(StartDate) <> 1
StartDate = StartDate - 1
MsgBox StartDate
Wend
