Hello, so imagine I have 2 tables. Researchers.tbl and Projects.tbl. One of them hosts all the names of researchers and their primary key, and the other one houses the names of projects, and also a primary key. They have a table called rsearchersXprojects.tbl which matches up  researchers with whatever project they happen to be working on, using the primary keys in the researcher and projects table as foreign keys. This is a many to many relationship. Multiple researchers can be working on multiple projects.

I have a form in which I can add a new researcher, and a new project. The researcher will go to the research table and get a new primary key, and the project will go to the project table and also get a new primary key. How do I append the the researcherXproject tbl, the researcher-project table to reflect the addition of this one, single entry. I don't want to add a column, I want the  newly generated primary key from the researcher table and the newly generated primary key from the projects table to be linked together and appended to the reasercher-project table. It looks like I need vba and sql, and if I have to wander down that path I will. But I'd like to know if there's an easier option.
