Here's is the solution I came up with: Use On Key Up Event and trap for a space. Run this code to put in a space.

    Dim SelLength, SelStart, lngLenStart As Long
    If KeyCode = 32 Then
        lngLenStart = Len(Nz(Me.Findtxt, "")) + 1
        Me.Findtxt = Me.Findtxt & " "
        Me.Findtxt.SelLength = 0
        Me.Findtxt.SelStart = lngLenStart
    End If
Also, regarding the problem of auto correct, I discovered each (many?, some?, well textbox) Controls have a Property that can be turned off. "Allow AutoCorrect", 6 from the bottom on 2007.

Very cool. I see some replies in the MVP thread that have some interesting solutions as well. One of them is even as simple as typing in your space in square brackets, like

Jo[ ]

This will force the LIKE keyword to treat that as a space character. I'll post the replies shortly. Leaving town today and have to pack.
