I've created 3 data entry forms. But in order to have some controls in place and prevent duplicates and mistakes on users' side, I'm told that I need to create search form and include some codes under After Update Event for each control to open my data entry forms in certain mode, lock certain buttons, and such. But I'm not sure how and what codes to use. I need some help please. Thank you.

You could perform a DLOOKUP on a field like a phone number or social security number to see if a user exists and then pop up a warning. Or, just simply INDEX the field.
