Video and Audio Quality
Mike Krueger

The Audio for your Beginner_1 Course is poor and your video is blurry.  The resolution is 640x360 and is readable but small at that resolution but if expanded to full screen (for me 1200x800) it's quite blurry.  Are all your videos in your other Access courses at this same quality?  I have problems reading the screen at the 640 x 360 resolution and am hoping you have higher resolution videos available.  Thx.

Reply from Richard Rost:

I prefer keeping the video window at 640x360 for most of my classes for two reasons: (1) it allows you to keep the video open at the same time as Access, so you can practice while you watch; and (2) it keeps the file sizes smaller which improves streaming quality (no buffering).

I have been using higher resolution on some of my newer classes, especially ones that require me to show a full screen (like the new Windows 8.1 class). I think part of the problem with some of my older classes isn't the resolution, it's the COMPRESSION ratio. I did have the compression cranked up too high when I converted the raw AVI files to MP4. The later classes don't have that problem.
