Hi Richard
I imported a worksheet from Excel with a column named Mailing. I have a query that shows the column contains both text and the numbers expressed as percentages. I would like to change the percentages to be displayed as 24.1 and also keep the text as well. Can you help me or point me to one of your course covers this subject.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Reply from Rick Rost:

Bob, I cover importing from Excel in Access Expert 20.

If you want to keep the value showing up as its full decimal equivalent, then I would recommend importing it into a DOUBLE field. You can then DISPLAY it however you want by simply using a FORMAT of something like 0.0 which will round it for DISPLAY, but keep the value in the table that was actually imported.
