I have a customer who cant afford SQL server. i was thinking of using MySQL as the backend with Access as the front end. Do you have an experience with this?
The other option is to use the SQL Express edition. Its free but i am not sure what kind of limitations i may encounter.
I will appreciate your advice

Hi Micah, You can connect to MySQL using a DSN and ODBC connector, just choose the MySQL one, in the same way you would a MS SQL Server.
The MS SQL Express Edition has its limitations like file size (I think it's 10 GB)
Only uses 1GB of RAM
