Image Seminar Addendum Printing Problem
Uriel Ramirez

I'm using MS Access 2010, 32 bits, I created a report with images in jpg format that are stored in my hard drive by using an empty image control and assigning the control source to be a dlookup which look in a query the path and file name of the picture. The picture shows in the report view perfectly, but when I switch to print preview the image get distorted and it prints distorted as well. How can I fix that?

Reply from Richard Rost:

First, I have to recommend you consider upgrading to 2013. It fixed a lot of weird bugs that 2007 and 2010 had. A subscription to Office 365 is only about $6 a month, so it's well worth it.

As far as this specific problem goes, I've never encountered it, and I wouldn't be able to test it since I only have 2013 installed on my machines. Does the problem go away if you HARD-CODE the filename of the image in the report? Don't use a DLOOKUP, just put a filename in there and see if that fixes the problem. If so, then we'll address that. If not, then it could be something like an out-of-date printer drive (which Access uses to generate your print preview).
