I have added a combo box to a subform of log entries.  The combo box is based on a query of 'existing staff'.  However, the full table of log entries also contains previous staff.  However, when viewing the subform, the staff details are only listed for existing staff members. I would like all listed in history but only current to be selected for new log entries.  Please could you advise what I'm missing ?

I've recently had a similar issue, this tip should help.

The reason is the combo has the same record source for every record in a continuous Form so you either have all or nothing.
You would need a way to determine which record is History and which isn't then use the same method as the tip describes.
