Dear Alex, Thanks for your reply. I am trying to block IP addresses(not URL's). Have seen an example of a Batch file being used to Unblock/Block Websites in the Hosts File(You Tube), but that is only for Websites(URL's). Really trying to automate a list (.txt) of IP addresses to load to the Windows Advanced Fire Wall settings. Is there a way to make a independent rule, (not a Group Policy) to add IP's to a New rule (To that Group Policy) using a bat file. At the moment I am adding IP's individually, it is time consuming. I was just wondering if a rule could be added this way to the Windows Fire Wall. Rules can be exported but not imported.  Sorry to be so long winded.

I've not done this but you have a couple of options in the hosts file.
Makes the unwanted address link back to local host
127.0.0.1  unwanted.domain

Or make the ip go to your own site saying band website
192.168.100.21   Ownsitewithmessage.domain

I'd have to look into the firewall settings
