can you able to advise me on my problem.
I have a field with consist of 13 digit which represent Identity Document of a customer.
the 23 digit number represent the following:-
The first six digit represent date of birth
The second four digit represent gender
The last three digit represent Country code
Now my problem is that, users always write customers ID birth date wrong and the gender numbers wrong
eg the user supposed to write 650901 5600 087
instead the user write 659010 5600 087 and the field will allow
Is there anyway I can correct this in that field. i tryed but i dont know how to do the mask that will present a result on the same field 13 digit and first 6 digit present date of birth
And second four digit represent Gender if is the Male the first digit will start between 5 to 9
If Gender is the Female the first digit will start between 0 to 4

Why not have three separate control each taking the entry of the specifc Blues.
You could then check they are being entered correctly.
A date picker, a Combobox etc
Here you could have Male or Female as a choice but in the background assign your numeric value.
When everything is correct join them up with &.
