If possible could you please give me a example of what I would have to do in the after update section of the check boxes.

I did try changing the control source of the 15th check box to this:

check1 + check2 + ..... + ..... = -14

which did work... but then I realized that this 15th check box is actually a bound check box and on my continuous form this check box would not show as true. The 15th check box is just to show that the job has been completed going down the continuous form, for the job to be complete all the other 14 check boxes must be true. I understand it is not ideal to calculate actual data but under this circumstance I think that human error of not checking this check box would be more of a problem.

This could be improved upon but you could do the folloing:

Sub CheckFinal()

    Dim blnAllTrue As Boolean
    blnAllTrue = True
    
    For Each ctrl In Me.Controls
        If ctrl.Tag = "FILL" Then
            If ctrl.Value = False Then
                blnAllTrue = False
            End If
        End If
    Next
    
    Check212 = blnAllTrue

End Sub

Now just add this to each of the Checkboxes AfterUpdate() Event, except the last one.

Private Sub Check#_AfterUpdate()
    CheckFinal
End Sub

Now when you select or unselect a check box the routine is looped and it will check the final one on or off.
