Hi Alex, Iam using the same record source. When they enter a payment on the employee end I can then see it on the manager side with a different form for managers only. I then need to notify the employee that the credit card was declined. So I use the combo box to drop down a choice and based on  weather the payment clears or not I pick one of the options. It seems that  when I pick an option its not reflecting on the account they are currently working on. Im sure Its something simple Im missing.

I'll need a little more info.
Say this choice is called STATUS.
An employee enters a payment. The Status is blank and can't be amended on their form.
This then gets an option chosen by a manager.
They then go back to the form and it hasn't updated?

Are you using the db at the same time?
