Hi Alex:  Thank you.  My OrderR report source is TestOrderQ, the same source as my TestOrderF for where the button is.
  I have a button on this form that print previews the OrderR report which has a where condition in the OpenReport portion of the macro:

OrderID=[Forms]![TestOrderF]![OrderID].

This print preview correctly opens only the one record.
  
Should I create a totally separate query  for the OrderR that is to be emailed, and maybe a separate report for emailing than for print previewing?

A separate Query would work but then you would have to maintain two and this can get messy.

One thing I did in a db was to open the Report with a Criteria, the Output it to a PDF, then close the Report

DoCmd.OpenReport "OrderR", acViewPreview, , "OrderID=" & OrderID
DoCmd.OutputTo acOutputReport, "OrderR", acFormatPDF, OutputFile
DoCmd.Close acReport, "OrderR"
