Yes the database is for tracking evaluation of employee that are due every two year on one group and yearly on the other. An I'm using the memo column to type in were the evaluation is sitting at. to keep what was typed in weeked to week but then be empty when the evaluation has closed out and a new one is project for two years or one year away. I don't know if that makes sence.

Why not have this as a separate Table, link it to the Employee and keep a historic record of the notes?
