How do you force a user to enter data when:
- You have a date field and a By Who (dropdown list) field
- If the user enters a date in the date field, I want them to have to choose their name in the By Who field.

BUT ONLY if they entered a date in the corresponding field.

You could remove the Control Box or Close Button in the Property Sheet
Add your own Close button to the Form
Then in the Click() Event
If Not IsNull(DateField) or DateField != "" Then
    Msgbox "Please enter a person"
    ByWho.setfocus
    ByWho.dropdown
    Exit Sub
End If
