OK, Alex.  Thanks for the explanation.  The query uses a prompt as in the Beginner Lesson: ["Enter Last Name"], followed by a second prompt {Enter First Name"]  The Report is a form built on the Query.   Recall that the query works fine without the filter producing a report of all records including the errant one.  It is for this one individual that it does not work when filtered. Why when not filtered and not when filtered?  It does not make sense.  It isn't critica l so let's leave it be for now.

If you copy the name from the Table into the prompt does it not work?
