Okay--I have a database that allows my instructors to see lessons and readings that have been used in previous classes. The users can go through and click a checkbox and when they are through, an append query is run.
  I ran a test and my office mate and I were going through and checking items at the same time but I ran my append query first. When she tried to run hers, my append query wiped her checkboxes out. Is there a way that multiple users can access the same form and check boxes and run their append queries without messing anyone else up?

Are you getting a locking file created when you open the db?
Are you both opening the same record at the same time?
Whoever is last to make changes will cause those value to be committed.
