In the Access Search Seminar number 13, customer list filter, I have a button on the main menu that will allow the user to open the form. I wanted to have each user click the button, open the form and have it only populate their assigned records. I want the unbound text box to show their name in it and give them a count of the total number of records they have as well as  being able to filter the records, but again, only the ones assigned to them.

You can use the Security Seminar to keep track of users.

You could use Environ("UserName")

You can then use a Query with a WHERE clause to get Records where the assigned user is equal to the currently logged in user.
