Referential Integrity
Don S

I cannot select referential integrity.  The joins are intact.  (One to many) But the boxes for Referential Integrity are greyed out.  What can I do?  I am running access 2007.

On another note. I am upto Expert Level two lesson 3 I think on the subject.  My database is split from front end to back end files.  I have a LeadsT (Parent)  and a CorrespondenceT (child)

How much would you charge to help?  I need to get this database functional so my sales folks can functionally call leads.

I cannot append a correspondenceT record.  From my forms.  I had thought it was a matter of referential integrity.

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Reply from Richard Rost:

You cannot set up referential integrity in a split database if you're in the front-end. You need to close that database and open up the back-end database directly. There you should be able to set up your relationships.

Also, if there is existing data that violates ref int. you might not be able to set it up either.
