Related to my earlier post, but I separated it to ensure clarity.

I have two tables in a one to many rel.

VendorInfoT & VendorContactsInfoT

I have them related by the VendorInfoID being a foreign Key in the VendorContactsInfoT.

When I created the Forms to update/create records I have the parent from being the VendorInfoT and a Subform being the VendorContactsInfo.

How can I automatically populate the VendorInfoIDFK in the Subform so the user does not need to type it.

If I include the field in the SUB form and populate it manually with the right Vendor ID all works fine.

But this seems wrong  to me.

Advise for a novice appreciated.

You can use a Default Value which references the Parent Form.
