Had a quick look on my PC.
I cannot find a way to import the file as specified into my inbox and giving it a location with for example the name of the person who ownes the data.

The file I have was exported on a external fileserver, who was in use for several years for a part of our organisation.
Importing a large 4 GB file to the users on our companies file server is not possible due to te 1 GB restriction.

So cutting it up in pieces looks impossible too.
That's why I looked for an import in ACCESS without loosing the attachements of the mail.

Is there a way around these problems?

You can connect a pst to any Outlook profile.

Outlook 2010
File | Open | Open Outlook Data File
Or
File | Open | Import
  Import from another program or file
