My project in Access is the creation of a Cemetery Records database.  To that end, I have set up the 'FamilyExtendedF' to be modal when a button is clicked from the Interred Person's record.  

My problem is this:
When the 'FamilyExtendedF' comes up and I enter information into it, then I save the record, sometimes the information I have added stays there on the record and sometimes it does not.

Because the added information is not retained by the 'FamilyExtendedF' I have had q1uite a few orphan records which I have had to delete.

My question:
What have I done incorrectly?

How are you saving the record?
Are you using a button?
Does the Record Selector change from dirty (the pencil icon) to a block?
