Access 2013: I split my DB and confirmed everything worked - no problem. I SAVED AS (front end) ACCDE. Again, no problem. Everything worked. That's at home. At work, we have Access 2007. The information in the tables is sensitive, so I created a form for logon and password. No problem. I split the DB - no problem. I try to publish (Save As) as ACCDE and I can't logon using the encrypted front end. Any ideas on what is happening? I'm thinking that the ACCDE file links may not be tied to the backend so the userid and password can't be verified which is preventing the logon. When I push the logon button and exit button, nothing happens. It's like Access 2007 isn't reading the VBA code. Any help/insight that you can provide is appreciated. M.

P.S. any chance you can update from 2007, it had major bugs!
